Community Security Schemes

ADT's Community Security Schemes add steel to neighbourhood communities.
ADT's innovative and highly successful Community Security Schemes (CSS), are tailor-made for specific communities, taking into account the unique needs of each community.
A 'CSS' area is, in effect, a ring-fenced neighbourhood community which has got together as a legally constituted body run by a neighbourhood security committee, which enters into a partnership agreement with ADT to provide a dedicated and defined security service for that neighbourhood, in close liaison with SAPS. A CSS usually takes the form of one or more neighbourhood-dedicated Armed Response vehicles, ADT bicycle or foot patrols, CCTV cameras at key suburb or neighbourhood entry points, branded neighbourhood guard-houses, or a combination of these.
ADT is currently in partnership with almost 400 such CSS schemes around the country. In CSS areas, patrols and deterrence increases and criminal activity and loitering reduces, often dramatically.
