My Story 

Dear ADT,

Firstly, just to let you know that, with the kind help of Dr Johan Cilliers, through ADT, and my family, I am now feeling a lot better. I am still feeling very sore and rather light-headed at times, but I understand and feel that I’m definitely on the mend. Thank you so much for ADT’s obvious ongoing concern, and for the extra mile that your Bramley guards are noticeably going in seeing that we are safe and putting our minds at rest with the more visible presence and the obvious extra surveillance in High Road

I understand from my wife that someone did in fact phone regarding the necessary repairs to our electric fence, but that, as I hadn’t communicated my intention to her, she had already accepted an offer by one of her sons to let him fix it free of charge. He is currently extremely busy installing surveillance cameras for corporates, but he phoned this morning to say that our job is scheduled for tomorrow. I must say that I’ll feel a whole lot safer when our electric fence is fixed and working again, and if he installs cameras round our house as promised, as I feel that both are good primary deterrents of crime.

I feel a great need to express sincere and heartfelt gratitude to everyone who had anything to do with helping in any small or huge way on the day of our attack. If it wasn’t for the speedy response by the ADT reaction unit as well as the wonderful response by our police, things could well have been a lot bloodier and our losses a lot greater – obviously the guards rattling our driveway gates, the sirens of approaching police vehicles and the helicopter flying overhead put paid to their plundering and they fled. For this, I/we will be forevermore thankful for, as I was at that stage just waiting for the knife to enter me! For your information, I believe that at this stage at least 2 of the 4 perpetrators have been apprehended and have confessed to their crime, thanks to my brother-in-law being able to identify their vehicle parked down the road.
