Neighbourhood Security with Neighbourhood Watch

ADT’s neighbourhood watch system offers each neighbourhood a Localised Security Scheme (LSS) - a patrolling initiative which partners with communities in creating an ultimate neighbourhood watch.

While ADT’s LSS offering is always tailor-made to meet the unique requirements of every neighbourhood, the Localised Security Scheme is usually comprised of a combination of three offerings.

Our Armed Response Neighbourhood Watch

Access Monitoring

By placing manned booms at strategic access points, ADT discourages unnecessary thoroughfare, and is able to keep track of all people and vehicles entering and leaving the community.

Bicycle or Foot Patrols

Bicycle Patrols and Foot Patrols bring a personal and interactive touch to community security. The mobility and specialised training of these people gives them a distinct edge.

These units perform regular inspections of “quieter” areas and deter loiterers from lingering unnecessarily. Regular “check-ins” and 24-hour two-way radio or cell phone contact with the Armed Response or area vehicles and our Control Room ensures that these officers work effectively as the eyes and ears of ADT, while serving as a visual deterrent for petty criminals.

Dedicated Vehicles

Dedicated Vehicles are ADT Armed Response vehicles designated solely to your community and are stationed permanently in your area. An officer trained in both response techniques and medical skills mans every neighbourhood watch Dedicated Vehicle, so you can rest assured that whenever you activate your alarm or panic signal, or identify a suspicious character - qualified help is on its way. And with ADT’s GPS Live Tracking System, our vehicles guarantee faster response times.
