We are committed to seeing the next generation thrive and flourish as best as possible. Our Corporate Social Responsibility programmes focus on meeting both the immediate and future needs of some of our fellow South Africans.
The lack of infrastructure and support in disadvantaged schools means that many high schools do not have the ability to teach Information Technology. ADT Teach is a programme which gives disadvantaged learners the opportunity to learn vital computer skills. Hundreds of learners at disadvantaged schools in Cape Town and Johannesburg townships have benefited from the initiative, which brings trainers and computers into their schools.
This skills development programme has a direct impact on lessening unemployment. Every month we interview over 1000 job seekers, the majority of whom don’t have the most basic of skills and are therefore functionally unemployable. The ADT Teach programme provides skills that can take learners out of this group and offer them the chance to better their lives, whether in the job market or at tertiary education level.
Safety For Children
There is no asset as valuable as our children. That’s why we started the Mr. ADT programme, dedicated to raising awareness around teaching our children safety. Presented by Mr. ADT himself, with follow-up material provided on an ongoing basis, the programme contains fun, easy-to-follow information and material. Mr. ADT is an ideal way for children to learn safe habits. It’s offered to all schools who wish to participate, at no cost.
