A stolen vehicle was recovered in Beacon Bay recently, thanks to the network of security cameras covering large parts of the province.
“The Community Information Centre (CIC) received an alert message about a suspected stolen vehicle that was spotted driving into East London recently. The alert message was generated by the network of License Plate Recognition (LPR) cameras that are erected across the province,” explains Johan Du Preez, East London branch manager at Fidelity ADT.
The CIC was set up by Fidelity ADT, and acts as a central contact point for local law enforcement and other municipal matters.
“CIC operator Senobia van Rensburg contacted the police in Beacon Bay to pass on the location of the vehicle in question. They soon located it and stopped it, and arrested the driver,” says Du Preez.
“This is another success for the LPR camera network and shows how modern technology backed up by dedicated law enforcement and security role-players will keep our region safe from crime. One such entity is the Beacon Bay Neighbour Watch who has played a critical role in implementing and initiating proactive security measures to keep their community safe and secure. We commend them for their excellent work and the key part they played in launching the LPR camera.”
We are excited to have the opportunity to share with you our personal experience on having our very own webcam casino game which we found to be very exciting and challenging.
