Team work leads to Mt Croix arrest

There has been high praise for local law enforcement and security agencies this week, whose team work led to the arrest of a suspect in Mt Croix.

“Our Community Information Centre (CIC) monitoring team became aware of an incident on Mount Road (22 January 2020, at around 9am) involving a suspect jumping over someone’s wall. CIC operator Oswell October jumped into action, coordinating efforts by local neighbourhood watch and security officers to track down the suspect,” says Ryan Britz, Port Elizabeth branch manager at Fidelity ADT.

The suspect was soon apprehended and taken into custody by police.

“Well done to everyone who worked together so seamlessly in this case,” says Britz. “We helped set up the CIC for the people of Port Elizabeth and surrounds to coordinate responses to any incidents of crime. This incident shows exactly how this facility and the support of local role players can make a difference.”
