Trespassing and Arrest in Links Road Rondebosch

In the early hours of the morning on 11 January,  while monitoring the cameras in the dedicated RCID Communications Hub on Bishops campus, Fidelity ADT hub controller Pedro van As,  spotted a suspicious character walking down Links Road on the cameras.

He immediately informed the RCID patrol vehicle to proceed to Links Road. Soon thereafter, our N1 City Monitoring Centre received an alarm signal from a resident's home in Links Road. RCID Armed Response Officer Vice arrived on the scene quickly and apprehended the suspect within minutes of arriving at the property and informed Rondebosch SAPS.

The suspect had jumped over the wall and then gained access via a balcony window.

Thank you, hub controller Pedro van As for your vigilance and to all involved in the apprehension of the suspect!
